As the only Social Service Agency in the country to provide high-quality wigs made from real hair, BCF offers this service entirely free of charge to breast cancer survivors and patients, as well as those suffering from alopecia.
The programme aims to alleviate the financial and emotional burden of hair loss by providing a curated selection of over 300 styles, ensuring that every woman can find a look that matches her personal identity and aids in her emotional recovery.

Participants in the programme benefit from personalised one-to-one fitting sessions conducted by appointment to ensure comfort and a natural appearance. The initiative is bolstered by a network of compassionate partners and sponsors, such as Geranium Salon and UEC Hair Studio, which provide complimentary services including professional hair shaving, wig trimming, and styling. Established in 1964, the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) is a self-funded social service agency dedicated to minimising the impact of cancer and maximising lives across the country. Operating as a community-based voluntary welfare organisation, SCS provides a comprehensive and integrated continuum of care that spans from public education and free cancer screening services to post-treatment support.
By proactively encouraging early detection for common conditions such as breast, cervical, and colorectal cancers, the society plays a pivotal role in reducing local healthcare burdens and empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being.

Beyond preventive advocacy, the society offers extensive patient services to support individuals and their families at every stage of the cancer journey. This includes providing vital financial assistance and treatment subsidies, alongside specialised psychosocial counselling and community-based support groups.
Furthermore, the organisation administers dedicated cancer rehabilitation programmes, such as those at the NCCS-SCS Rehabilitation Centre, and provides compassionate home hospice care for end-of-life patients. Through these multifaceted initiatives and strategic healthcare partnerships, SCS helps patients navigate their recovery with dignity, ensuring that no one has to face the challenges of cancer alone.

The Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) is a prominent social service agency in Singapore dedicated to mitigating the impact of breast cancer through early detection and life-long support. Established in 1997, the foundation focuses on raising public awareness through its diverse outreach programmes and the iconic Pink Ribbon campaign, which encourages women to take charge of their health through regular mammogram screenings. By demystifying the disease and promoting proactive healthcare, BCF plays a crucial role in increasing the chances of early diagnosis and successful treatment within the community.

Beyond advocacy, BCF provides a comprehensive ecosystem of support for survivors and their families through its various “Healing Through the Arts” initiatives and support groups. These programmes, ranging from dragon boating and choir to the specialised Wig Loan Programme, are designed to foster emotional resilience and a sense of belonging during and after the recovery process. Through its BCF Encounters and befriending services, the foundation ensures that no one has to face the journey alone, offering a nurturing environment that emphasises holistic well-being and the empowerment of those affected by the condition.

The Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) is a registered social service agency in Singapore established in 1992, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with cancer and their families. Operating without direct government funding, the foundation relies entirely on the continuous goodwill of corporate partners, schools, and the general public to keep its critical services completely free for beneficiaries. CCF provides comprehensive, long-term support through an integrated hospital-community-home service model, having helped thousands of young patients navigate the challenging stages of illness, treatment, and recovery.

In the hospital setting, the foundation offers critical financial aid, casework, counselling, and therapeutic play to support newly diagnosed children. This care extends seamlessly into the community and the home, featuring educational assistance to help survivors reintegrate into schools, alongside dedicated sibling and caregiver support programmes.
For children with a poor medical prognosis, CCF provides compassionate palliative and bereavement services, ensuring that families receive essential emotional and practical guidance during end-of-life care. Through high-profile community initiatives like the annual ‘Hair for Hope’ campaign, the organisation actively raises vital funds and awareness to ensure that no child has to battle cancer alone.
